Imaginative Play

imaginative play
Whether called imaginative, make believe, or pretend play, children engage in role playing – sometimes reflecting their experiences and sometimes giving flight to their fantasies. Children use their imaginations, think creatively, and while interacting with others, learn to articulate their point of view and listen to the perspectives of others, negotiate, collaborate, and problem solve. Pretend play also helps children learn to identify and manage their feelings.
