Worry Eater Saggo stands ready to hold on to your worries so you don’t have to. Everyone, adults and children alike, has fears and worries. The causes differ, but we all know the feeling. Sometimes our worries are small; other times overwhelming. The challenge is finding ways to keep those emotions from consuming us. Managing anxiety requires identifying its cause and finding healthy ways to cope.
Worry Eaters is one way. These appealing plush characters both invite us to express our feelings and help us develop healthy coping skills. Here’s how. We write down or draw a picture of what’s bothering us. We can also ask someone to help us if writing is hard. Then we feed our fears to our Worry Eater, zip up its mouth, and let it hold the worries for us. They’re tough enough to carry our worries and soft enough to cuddle. Learning safe ways to express feelings develops healthy coping skills. We become more confident and optimistic.
